1966 Dodge Charger

Lost sheep to shepherd, lost sheep to shepherd. No, it's not that charger, but we got your attention didn't we. Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to offer up this 1966 Dodge Charger. This is a rock solid all there car that is going to make a great restoration or pro touring car.
We have decoded everything and this is an original EE dark blue paint with W code white interior. This car did come with the P6 option remote drivers door outside mirror, and the R1 code 2 watt AM radio. The car itself was born on Dec. 21st 1966. Although a 440 sits between the fenders now, this was originally a 383 car. The 440 didn't come as an option until 1967.
That being said, let's get into this animal of a 440 under the hood of this 1966 Dodge Charger. This motor was punched .030 over with Mopar pistons and rods filling the holes. A mopar high volume oil pump and windage tray was installed to keep the oil from slinging around the crank. The bump stick on this engine is the old school Crane Fireball and the specs are 234/234 deg dur @.05,.560/.560 gross lift,112 deg LSA,basic rpm 3200-6200rpms. As you will hear in the video we shot, this car has the great muscle car rumble that you would expect to hear. Mopar anti pump up lifters were added as well as a Mopar high performance timing chain and gasket set, as well as new valves and valve springs. Atop this motor sits a Holley 750 Double Pumper and all that fuel is delivered via a Holley electric racing fuel pump. There was even a high performance distributor added as well. Now to keep all of this cool a 3 core radiator was installed. We took this car on a long extended drive and she never got hot at all, and hey, we're in Florida in July.
The interior is nice as well for a car of this age. All of the original interior is there and yes it is showing some age, but seat springs are not poking you in the butt as you ride down the road. The headliner is in great shape for a car of the age so you don't need to replace it. The speedometer and the tach didn't work when the owner got the car so true mileage is unknown, but since this car has had an engine change it's not like you are going to represent it as an original mile car anyway.
Folks, like we have told you before, we are honest guys here at Just Toys Classic Cars. This car obviously needs a repaint, and some body work, but the one thing that you are not going to have to do is whip out your credit car and have to go through half of an O.P.G. catalog and start ordering new quarters, fenders, and floor pans like we know that you have to do on a lot of these cars. This 1966 Dodge Charger has good bones to start with as you will see in the photos. All of the windshield as well as the rear glass trim is with the car it is just all in the trunk, but is in good shape. This is going to be a perfect car to restore with an engine change in it, or make one HELL of a resto mod/pro touring car out of it. We look forward to making you the newest member of the Just Toys Classic Cars family and speaking with you soon.
